Spiritual Fatherhood part 2

GOD IS RICH IN MERCY.

If the points highlighted (in part 1)describe your situation, I can say this with scriptural Apostolic authority, I am sorry my brother and sister maybe it’s time to reconsider…but God is rich in mercy.

I am not forming this points from a vacuum Sirs and Mas, I have been in ministry by the grace of Christ for a while, and in proper spiritual fatherhood for years now. I really know what I am saying.

I have seen these things play out. I have seen, heard and read the worst of ministers with heavy burdens on their hearts over years and I know what it means when both us young ministers and ministers at large to fall victims of wrong unscriptural and undoctrinal spiritual fathering.

From all scripture’s intents, exposure and from ideal experiential ministry as validated by the Word, among other things your spiritual father is;

  1. One to whom you are led of the LORD.
  2. One who has spiritual authority over you.
  3. One with whom your spirit connects.
  4. One who loves you genuinely and has your time.
  5. One whose words mould your destiny.
  6. One who prays and travails in prayer for you.
  7. One who does not hesitate to rebuke, reprove, reprimand and correct you with love when you err.
  8. One who has time to listen to your burden and take some time in the presence of God.
  9. One who doesn’t just advise but instructs you in the Spirit of love and meekness.
  10. One who will not desert you when the going gets tough.
  11. One who honours the grace of Christ upon your life and will NEVER talk you down.
  12. One with whom you have a sense of freedom and to whom you have an unrestricted access

This are things to look up for rather than some carnal, material and fleshly considerations.

Perhaps the feature that stands out the most is that YOUR FATHER LOVES YOU and he will not do to you what love wouldn’t. By the grace of God, aside from my constant alignment, sacrifices and pressing into Wisdom, I am a product of genuine spiritual fathering .
We are so close, closer than the cloth I am wearing . We relate with love, we talk and lough together, we flow together but when it comes to fatherly instructions, corrections and Impartations, the words come with fatherly authority but laced with the love of Christ.

“YOU CAN’T BE IN AUTHORITY WITHOUT BEING UNDER AUTHORITY, YOU MIGHT ABUSE THE AUTHORITY.”

As I close, it’s important to note, that in all shades of ministry relationships (vertical or horizontal) MUTUAL HONOUR is very key.

I have penned down this Apostolic exegesis and burden with great LOVE, MERCY AND GRACE to the beloved Body of Christ to whom I toil and travail. With GREAT LOVE that cannot be fathomed to our beloved fathers of faith, contemporary fathers,
ministers and every believer in Christ.
I trust God to give HEALING to the wounded, LEADING to those in crossroads and LIFTING to the GREAT BODY OF CHRIST. We can do better and bring glory and honour to the Name of our LORD Jesus Christ if father-son relationship and father- daughter relationship in the Body of Christ is treated, tought and executed with scriptural balance.
